A 1 oz Brick of Beeswax is 100% natural beeswax. We use purified beeswax so candles burn smoothly. Customers purchase five or more of these bricks for use in various craft projects. Our natural beeswax by nature is far superior to paraffin when it comes to its uses!
The Color of the brick of beeswax will vary depending on many factors. One factor is the age of the wax. New wax is very pale, almost white. This wax is typically obtained from the “wax cappings” This is produced by the bees when they seal the honey in a cell of honeycomb. As honeycomb ages, it gets darker. This is typically obtained when beekeepers decide to replace the old honeycomb.
Another factors is the exposure to light. As the brick of beeswax sits in exposure to light, it changes from yellow to more ivory. This is a very slow process and often not observed because the beeswax is used long before change occurs! That being said, it is good to keep in mind that your natural brick of beeswax may not match exactly as depicted here.
Bees are amazing and so are the products they make! There are so many uses for beeswax in the home and for crafting: Use it as a lubricant on sticky drawers or rusty bolts. How about doing your hair in dreadlocks! Beeswax is what you need! You can polish concrete counters, preserve tools from rusting. Many candy recipes call for beeswax. Make your own non-toxic crayons or clay. The possibilities are endless!
